Selling consoles to the public is one thing, selling to potential developers very much another. Aware that the PlayStation Vita has to sell well outside of Japan this time, Sony is bringing some big guns to the U.K.'s Develop conference this year where hundreds of European developers will be gathered.
Sony’s Kish Hirani, head of developer services and Neil Brown, senior engineer for SCEE research, will cover the Vita hardware, development tools and highlight some of the experiences that developers currently using them on the platform's launch titles are having.
Selling the Vita seems to be going well, but Sony will need many more developers producing niche, small games to sit alongside the big hitters and provide entertainment in this cheap-mobile-gaming era. Most major developers already seem to be on board, but any stragglers should soon be rounded up.
