Sony Exec Reckons Vita is Region Free

Its one of the big unanswered questions about Vita, and IGN might have the answer. It has a quote from Sony's Mike Denny made at a press session during E3. He confirmed that " to the best of his knowledge - Vita would be region free."

So, once again I (and you) can look forward to importing mad Japanese games, the odd American titles that gets released way ahead of us over here. You can guarantee the stores will be region-locked and they'll probably do something to stop you having accounts in different regions, but otherwise, this is great news!
